Sustainable sourcing
We harvest only mature Acacia trees from certified plantations in Southeast Asia. Each log is hand-selected for density and natural oil content, ensuring the wood will resist warping and glass rings. -
Precision slicing
Logs are kiln-dried to 8 % moisture, then sliced on a gang-rip saw into 4 mm blanks—thin enough to be lightweight, thick enough to absorb condensation. -
Laser-cut accuracy
CNC-guided lasers trim every blank into a perfect 10 cm circle (or the custom silhouette our client requested). The beam seals the edge grain, eliminating splinters without extra sanding. -
Two-stage sanding
We start with 180-grit to level the surface, finish with 320-grit for a silk-smooth touch. Dust is extracted at each head to keep the pores clean for finishing. -
Food-safe finish
A warm bath of mineral oil and beeswax is hand-rubbed into each coaster, highlighting Acacia’s natural caramel streaks. After 24 h air-drying they’re buffed to a low-sheen, water-resistant luster. -
Quality check & stack
Every piece is inspected for cracks, color consistency and flatness. Approved coasters are stacked in sets of four, wrapped in kraft sleeves and slipped into retail-ready kraft boxes—no plastic. -
